Romania – Army

We still have something like 5000 troops in Romania. As always, your care packages are a huge hit, all over. Here on this base we only have a small PX with some of the necessities, but with 5000 troops – including the Italian air force, as well as French and Romanians – nothing lasts long on the shelves.

4. Single Size Snacks (e.g. Chips, Oreos Cookies, Cheez Its, Goldfish)

5. Canned Goods for Single Portion Meal (e.g. Soups, Spaghetti, etc)

6. Feminine Products (e.g. Tampons, Pads, etc)

7. Travel Size Body Lotion

8. Gum & Breath Mints

9. Single Pack Drink Mix (e.g. Kool Aid, Lemonade, Gatorade, etc)

10. Travel Size Dental Supplies (e.g. Floss, Mouthwash, Toothpaste, Tooth Brush, etc)

11. Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash, Deodorant

12. Wet/Hand Wipes

13. Sandwich Crackers (Peanut Butter and/or Cheese)

14. High Top Socks (dark colors best – green, black, blue, etc)

There is also a high demand for girl scout cookies.

They’re living in tents, for the most part, with no kitchen facilities, but there’s usually a microwave oven somewhere nearby.
